In Spring of 2018, I saw two large birds engaged in winged, aerial combat. They were a Bald Eagle (year round resident) and a Golden Eagle which is migratory to SEVA.
There was a lot of screaming – you can see their beaks open so they weren’t happy with each other. I didn’t know what I had until went home and reviewed my images – from over 900 feet (300+ meters) away I got some incredible pictures! When it was over the Bald Eagle, the graceful loser, was kind enough to do a fly-by!
