Since 23 Aug 22, we have been hosting two, juvenile, sibling, Red-Shouldered Hawks. According to the Audobon’s local “Hawk Lady” I’ve spoken with, they are most likely displaced from all the construction destroying their habitat. Around January, they will start looking to mate and it’s expected* the resident adult Hawks will push them out. Until then, we get to enjoy their awkwardness and beauty as they soar through the neighborhood. Lots of photos coming. The video below is from early October as they returned to Mosaic.
